What is gold filled wire? The wire we use is 14/20 meaning 14k gold makes up 5% of the total metal weight. Unlike gold plated wire, there is a much thicker coating of gold so it will not flake, peel, or wear off over time. It stands up to everyday wear and is an excellent choice for sensitive ears!
